As I quarantined at home during LA’s shelter in place mandate I began to overindulge in the art of cooking bread, cooking more bread, cooking different things and topping things off with a little drinking. After a few weeks of this I began to wonder what other people were doing.
So I asked my friends, neighbors and people I met on the street while walking my dog if they would be willing to sit for a portrait with their own “overindulgence”. To my delight many people agreed. I got busy and built an outdoor studio in my front yard and adhered to COVID-19 protocols; wearing a mask at all times, creating a table 6x6 ft to maintain a safe distance and removing the surface paper after each sitting.
I chose from my subjects own wardrobe which I asked them to bring and had them bring their overindulgence as well.
And here are the results, enjoy.
